Our numbers were low last Thursday.  Maybe some of the regulars were resting up for the Mississauga tournament the following Saturday.  Maybe the summer scrabble slumber is starting.   Whatever it was, come out this Thursday!

Joseph, Gene and Andy did show up, and these 3 gentlemen registered 3-0 records.  Wow Andy, you’ve only played 28 games and have 5 perfect evenings, which explains the 75% winning percentage.  Andy leaps 36 points, Gene advances 31 and Joseph claims 25 more points.  The rest of us were pretty mediocre last week.

Charles recorded a new high win of 475 and Andy also put up his best number this season – 482.

In the club championship A division, only 1 player, Jim, managed to get the green light.   In the B division, top contenders were in the red, and Ann was the greatest ratings gainer, with 15.   

Shan and I want to thank everyone, for your enthusiasm and support for the June 12 tournament.  Some brought food, took pictures, donated tiles, handled registration, provided an adjudication laptop, or just offered advice.  Thank you!  Shauna and Vimalan finished first in their divisions, on home soil.  8 of 16 winners are from our club.  Great show and a great time!
