Saturday, June 16, 2012. Check-in begins at 8:30am and games begin at 9:30am.

7 rounds Modified Swiss (minimum repeats)

The Gibson Rule is in effect.

The tournament will be held in the STUDENT CENTRE (see map below) at the Blind Duck restaurant.
Players can enter from the south patio entrance of the Student Centre’s Blind Duck restaurant, where they’ll immediately find the tournament check-in desk. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible.
Please note the room is daylit, which means brightness of the room is dependent on sunlight. We will do our best to accommodate player needs in the event of a cloudy day with lamps, but it may not be ideal.
There is a cost of $5 (Canadian) for parking for each vehicle, which should be paid at the machine in the lot. The machine also accepts major credit cards. See the campus map for details on where to park.

“The Collegeway” is the recommended road to the campus to reach a nearby parking lot. Pay $5 (Canadian) at the machine in the lot and then take the walking path for about 5 minutes to the south patio entrance of the Student Centre.
If you are taking public transit, you can use mississaugatransit.com to find a route that serves you. At present, there is a route 1C Dundas-Collegeway that leaves from Islington subway station at 8:28am on Saturday and is scheduled to arrive at 9:12am at the University. The bus stops just a minute away from the Student Centre where the tournament will be held. There are other routes which stop at the University, including route 110S from the Square One transit terminal. Regular fare for Mississauga Transit is $3.25. Call CityLink, Mississauga’s transit information hotline at 905-615-4287 to verify.
Lunch will be provided (both veggie and non-veggie options). The cost is included in your entry fee. Most likely, we will have a barbeque and other items.

Prizes are dependent on the number of players in each division.
The entry fee is $50. (That’s 50USD or 50CAD). Entries must be received by June 13, 2012, but later registrations will be considered at discretion of the director. In order to register, you must be a NASPA member in good standing.
To register, print the tournament flyer and complete the registration form at the bottom. Payments can also be made in person at the Mississauga SCRABBLE® Club.
Upon receipt of your registration, our Cross-Tables entrants list will be updated with your name. Please check that your name has been added. If it has not been added, it may be an indicator it has been lost/delayed in the mail. When payment is received, your name will be shown in the entrants list as Confirmed.
